The Grand Staircase where the Capitol Reef National Park in Utah is located is a big photography heaven. I would look out and see this expansive space that opens up to eternity. Not as huge as the Everest mountains in China, but this was splattered with colors! Reds, whites, oranges, spotty greens, red, amber lines. The small towns are quaint and lovely, too little time to explore. Beautiful!

viewfynder14 > This is the Fluted Wall, driving into the Natural Bridge, part of the Grand Staircase National Monument. You need a 4X4 vehicle to get into unpaved clay road, that turns into dough after rain, do not take a Mustang, like we did, a 3-day old car (yes, that red thing there) would not be a good choice. This was a 7-panel panorama shot hand-held.

viewfynder14 > Watching the rain from a distance. We were waiting for the moonrise. This is near the Lake. It was very quiet up here, very peaceful.
viewfynder14 > Driving back to Escalante, rain came down hard.
viewfynder14 > That looked like a Minaret, or the Sophia dome (Turkey or France?) This is part of the stretch of the Natural Bridge in the Grand Staircase.
viewfynder14 > Ahh..this was a beautiful sight. The rain just stopped and I saw this, as the sun was quickly breaking through the clouds. The car came to a screeching halt! Take a picture!!!! This one looks like a water color painting. Notice the misting of the rain, lots of detail.
viewfynder14 > This is my favorite! This was from one of the small towns in between Escalante and Bryce Canyon. Too Pooped to Pump!!!! I get it!!!
